About the role
As a world’s leading provider of control systems for the planet’s most complex machines like particle accelerators used in industrial and research applications, optical and radio telescopes, fusion reactors, space mission systems, and much more, we want to strengthen our Sales team with an experienced Sales Engineer.
You will be responsible for generating strategic and operational sales and growth initiatives, mainly in the global high-tech industrial and scientific markets, cooperating with scientific facilities such as ITER, ESA, CERN, and many others.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Development of detailed understanding of Cosylab’s key clients’ business (company background, business performance and goals, business, and competitive environment and challenges,…).
- Preparation, execution, and orchestration of sales strategies for large accounts and opportunities.
- Expanding and maintaining target lists of prospect clients for accounts to be targeted globally.
- Solution-selling of Cosylab Software services specifically in the field of Big Science and High-tech industries, leveraging the strength of the global Cosylab business structure.
- Creation of value-added solutions and winning proposals for clients/prospects in accordance with Cosylab procedures and pricing guidelines.
- Active role in special projects and teams as necessary to support the overall development of the business.
All of the above will help you meet your annual sales targets (e.g., revenue per segment, generation of qualified pipeline, customer satisfaction score…).
Required qualifications and skills
- Experience in selling complex technical solutions and service-type projects in an international B2B environment.
- Understanding of innovative sales methods, such as Solution Selling, Challenger Sales etc. (3+ years of experience and a proven track record).
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Significant intercultural communication skills, both with customers and the sales team.
- Sufficient technical knowledge to understand complex projects and recognize the customers’ needs.
- Drive and commitment to succeed in sales and business development.
- Results-orientation; strong desire to achieve objectives by tackling complex challenges along the way.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical disciplines, or five years of related experience and/or training.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
