About the role
We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our team and help us build an exciting novel cancer therapy software involving multiple distributed components and workflows.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Collaborate with development teams to develop automated product deployments, updates, and identify production issues.
- Improving, optimizing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipeline (GitLab).
- Research and apply the latest technologies for CI/CD, orchestration, monitoring, server commissioning, and network administration.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues (troubleshooting).
- Communicate with end customers to resolve any issues they may face with the integration.
Required qualifications and skills
- Work experience as a Sysadmin/DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
- Advanced scripting skills with proficiency in automating complex tasks and developing custom tooling (such as Powershell, Bash or Python).
- Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep knowledge and experience with database setup and management of relational databases (we use PostgreSQL).
- Good understanding of Windows servers and networking.
- Experience with load balancers such as HAProxy.
- High level of experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes (code review, release management, etc.)
- Problem–solving skills (capability of handling and resolving problems that you may not have encountered before).
Education
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Bonus points if you have
- Software development experience with C# (.Net, WPF) and/or C++.
- Production experience with orchestration tools (Docker, Ansible, Puppet etc.).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Grafana and Kibana.
