Sales Engineer – Scientific and High-Tech Projects (m/f)

As an experienced Sales Engineer, whom we are looking to strengthen our sales team, your responsibilities will include selling complex high-tech services, acquiring new business opportunities, and closely collaborating with internal stakeholders. You will become part of a team that is primarily active in global high-tech, industrial, and scientific markets, working alongside some of the most prestigious companies and organizations.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Selling Cosylab’s engineering and software development services for controlling complex systems, both in the field of science and in high-tech industries.
- Detailed understanding of Cosylab’s key clients’ business (company background, business performance and goals, business, and competitive environment and challenges,…).
- Preparation, execution, and orchestration of sales strategies for large accounts and opportunities.
- Expanding and maintaining target lists of prospect clients for accounts to be targeted globally.
- Active role in projects and teams, and orchestration of coworkers to achieve common sales targets.
Required qualifications and skills
- Experience in selling complex service projects in software development and engineering within an international B2B environment.
- Experience in acquiring new clients and upselling to existing ones.
- Proficiency in innovative and modern sales techniques.
- Sufficient technical knowledge to understand complex high-tech projects and recognize the customers’ needs.
- Results-orientation; strong drive for closing sales deals, and desire to achieve common objectives.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Significant intercultural communication skills, both with customers and the sales team.
- Open mind for discussion and team collaboration.
Education
- BSc. in Economics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
- Full working proficiency in spoken and written English.
