Cosylab team wins national IEDC Case Study Competition
The IEDC Case Study Competition (CSC) is a highly interactive two-day competition organised by IEDC Alumni Clubs in each country. In a limited time, cross-functional teams from different companies demonstrate their best talent, creativity, teamwork and perseverance while analysing and solving a real business case.
In the 2022 edition of CSC, seven cross-functional teams of managers and experts from Cosylab, Danfoss Trata d.o.o, Heineken PLU, Iskraemeco d.d., Nova KBM d.d., TALUM d.d. Kidričevo and Telekom Slovenije d.d. spent two intensive days at the IEDC in Bled. On the first day, they were given 24 hours to come up with solutions to a complex business case. On the second day, they presented their final solutions to a jury composed of IEDC Alumni Club Slovenia members, Dolores Kores and Matic Vogrič, chaired by Dr. Nenad Filipović.
Congratulations to all participating teams and especially to the winning team from Cosylab: Živa Brglez, Gašper Jarc, Andraž Košuta, Mateja Ule Kovač, Žiga Urh, and Jože Zobec, who demonstrated superb case research, holistic and consistent solution, and convincing presentation in a refreshing, stimulating, and dynamic competition that challenged the minds of the participants.
The Cosylab team was awarded a one-day seminar at IEDC and will represent Slovenia at the IEDC regional case study competition, where they can measure their strengths against winners from other countries. This international competition will take place in October this year under the leadership of Dr. Brane Kalpič, Professor at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and IEDC.
