Delegation from Chinese Academy of Sciences visits Cosylab
The Chinese Academy of Sciences delegation visited the Cosylab headquarters in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Cosylab is seen as one of the flagship high-tech companies in Slovenia that also has a presence on the Chinese market. Cosylab has been providing software engineering services and solutions to Chinese medical companies and research institutes since 2010.
The delegation enjoyed the presentation by Cosylab CEO, Dr. Mark Pleško, highlighting the variety of projects that Cosylab has worked on in China. Some of the projects described included the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Heavy Ion Medical accelerator in Lanzhou and the HFCIM SC200, a cyclotron-based proton therapy facility in Hefei for which Cosylab is providing the accelerator control system.
Cosylab currently has two offices in China, one in Guangzhou and one in Suzhou.
This is the second visit of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to Slovenia and the first visit since signing a bilateral cooperation agreement with the Slovenian Academy of Science and Arts in July 2018.
