PLC Engineer / Project Manager (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a PLC engineer with experience in programming industrial controllers who wants to further their career in technical development and potentially take a step forward in project management.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Developing software for industrial controllers.
Software simulations and testing.
Managing software development projects.
Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Participate in the presales process, understand customer’s technical and project needs, and analyze their requirements.
Regular discussions with internal team and customers.

Required qualifications and skills

Experience in the field of automation.
Experience with managing software development projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
A desire to take on responsibility and learn new technologies.

Education

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or other related technical disciplines.
Fluency in spoken and written English.

Bonus points if you have

Experience in Beckhoff or Siemens PLC technology.
Experience with programming (C++ or other OOP).
Knowledge of SCADA systems.
Experience in collaboration in pre-sales engineering, including the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Interest in or experience within the scientific domain (particle accelerators, fusion energy, space,…).
